Attendance Policy

It is very important that your child get to school on time. If your child is going to be late or absent you must notify the school that morning. Please call the school office before 8:30 a.m. if your child will be absent or tardy. For appointments during the school day, all students must be signed out through the office prior to leaving the building.

It is a policy of the Muscatine School District to account for all students daily. The school district considers five (5) unexcused absences as excessive. Continued absences without parental contact may be turned over to a truancy officer or other legal agency.

After school arrangements should be made before your child leaves home. This will reduce the amount of classroom interruptions we have. Thank you.
